Properties of lithium bromide

Lithium bromide aqueous solution is a colorless and transparent liquid, and its concentrated solution has strong water absorption due to the boiling point of lithium bromide being much higher than that of water. Mainly used as an absorbent for absorption lithium bromide refrigeration machines.
The lithium bromide mixed solution system adds the corrosion inhibitor lithium chromate to the lithium bromide solution to enhance the corrosion inhibition effect, and the solution turns pale yellow after addition.

Lithium bromide solution contains a small amount of LiOH.H2O, which is alkaline and can absorb CO2 in the air, resulting in the precipitation of Li2CO3. The solution should be stored in a closed container.

For the convenience of customers, our factory has added corrosion inhibitor lithium chromate to the production of LiBr solution, which users can use directly. The enhancer octanol will be supplied separately.
