Tung Oil is a drying vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the tung tree, featuring fast-drying, water-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties, and is often used in wood coatings, inks, water repellents and other fields.

(1) Wood-related applications: As a traditional wood coating, it is used to paint tables, chairs, doors, windows, floors, wooden barrels, etc., forming a protective film to prevent wood from dampness, corrosion and insect infestation. It is also often used for the maintenance and renovation of wooden furniture.

(2) Industrial manufacturing: It is used in the production of inks (such as printing inks), paints and varnishes to improve the adhesion and weather resistance of products; it can also be used as a water repellent for waterproof treatment of materials such as paper, canvas and leather.

(3) Handcraft and traditional fields: In traditional handcrafts, it is used to make oil-paper umbrellas and oilcloth to enhance their waterproofness; it is also used for splicing and bonding wood and bamboo products, while also providing a protective effect.

(4) Other uses: It can be used as an anti-rust coating for metal surfaces, and also as a plasticizer in some rubber and plastic products to improve their flexibility.

Meanwhile, as a raw material for coatings/varnishes and inks, it improves the adhesion, weather resistance, and drying speed of coatings, ensuring the appearance and durability of finished products.
