Description

Weak Base Anion (WBA) Ion Exchange Resin, Acrylic Matrix, is a macroporous acrylic–divinylbenzene copolymer functionalized with tertiary amine groups. This resin exhibits excellent resistance to organic fouling and strong adsorption of organic acids, making it especially effective in treating natural waters with high levels of organics and color bodies. Unlike strong base resins, WBA resins do not remove silica or CO₂ but are highly efficient at removing strong mineral acids (HCl, H₂SO₄, HNO₃) and organic acids. The acrylic matrix gives superior hydrophilicity, ensuring rapid kinetics and better performance in challenging water conditions.
