    Description

Weak Base Catalyst Ion Exchange Resin, Amine Functionalized, is a macroporous polystyrene–divinylbenzene resin carrying tertiary amine functional groups. Unlike conventional anion resins used for ion exchange in water treatment, this resin is specifically tailored for catalytic functions in organic syntheses, where its weakly basic sites can act as nucleophilic or basic catalysts. It is typically used in reactions such as Knoevenagel condensation, Michael addition, and transesterification processes. The macroporous structure provides enhanced accessibility to active sites, and its polymeric backbone ensures chemical and thermal stability under a variety of reaction conditions.

    Applications

    • Knoevenagel condensation

    • Michael addition reactions

    • Transesterification processes

    • Catalysis in organic synthesis and fine chemicals

    • Scavenger for acidic impurities in reaction streams

    • Solid-phase synthesis of pharmaceuticals

    • Dehydrohalogenation reactions

    Key Features

    • Weak base functional groups (tertiary amine)

    • Macroporous structure for high surface accessibility

    • Excellent swelling stability in organic media

    • Regenerable and reusable solid catalyst

    • Environmentally friendly replacement for liquid bases
