It is also called titanium white when used as a pigment. Its melting point is 1840°C, boiling point is 2900°C, flash point is 2500 to 3000°C, density is 4.26 g/cm³, soluble in hot concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.
