Uses

n-Octyl Acrylate acts as a reagent for the synthesis and properties of poly(n-octyl acrylate) with uniform polystyrene grafts used as compatibilizer for acrylic rubber/polystyrene blends.

N-Octyl acrylate is an organic compound commonly used as a chemical intermediate and monomer, with important applications in various industrial fields. Its main uses include as a raw material for polymerization reactions, used for synthesizing acrylic polymers, resins, latex and other materials. ‌
In the coatings industry, it is widely used in architectural coatings, original equipment coatings (OEM), and specialty coatings to improve the flexibility and durability of coatings. ‌
In addition, n-octyl acrylate can also be used to manufacture fiber processing agents, adhesives, plastic additives, and softeners, demonstrating its multifunctionality in organic synthesis
