  Semaglutide is a GLP-1 analogue that lowers blood glucose levels by mimicking the action of GLP-1. It achieves this effect by stimulating insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon secretion, and delaying gastric emptying. In terms of weight loss effect, a randomized double-blind clinical trial showed that after 68 weeks of treatment with Semglutide, the weight of obese patients decreased by an average of 15.3 kg, while the placebo group decreased by 2.6 kg ; the proportion of weight loss was 14.9 % in the smeglutide group and 2.4 % in the placebo group [3 ] .
