Potassium Carbonate (Potash, CAS:584-08-7,EINECS:209-529-8, HS Code:28364000, molecular formula K₂CO₃, MW:138.21) is white crystalline powder or granular solid. It is produced by carbonation of potassium hydroxide followed by crystallization, filtration and drying. This chemical is easily soluble in water and aqueous solution presents strong alkalinity, while insoluble in ethanol and organic solvents.
