Phenytoin Sodium is an antiepileptic drug, mainly used to control epileptic seizures (such as tonic-clonic seizures and complex partial seizures), treat arrhythmias (such as ventricular tachycardia caused by digitalis poisoning), and manage trigeminal neuralgia. It should be used as directed by a doctor and the dosage should not be adjusted by oneself.
Phenytoin sodium works by inhibiting abnormal neuronal discharges, thereby reducing the frequency of epileptic seizures.
