SNAP-8 simulates the key fragment of endogenous SNAP-25 protein, interfering with SNARE complex assembly to inhibit neurotransmitter release. 2. Core Mechanism of Action

SNAP-8 penetrates the epidermis to reach dermal neuromuscular junctions, exerting mild muscle relaxation effect through competitive inhibition of SNARE complex formation without complete muscle paralysis:

Mimic the binding domain of SNAP-25 protein, competitively occupy the binding site of syntaxin and synaptobrevin, block the complete assembly of ternary SNARE complex;

Inhibit calcium-dependent synaptic vesicle fusion with presynaptic membrane, reduce the secretion of acetylcholine neurotransmitter at neuromuscular junctions;

Weakly weaken facial muscle contraction intensity, relieve repeated micro-contraction of expression muscles (frontal muscle, orbicularis oculi, zygomatic muscle);

N-terminal acetylation and C-terminal amidation structural modification resist protease degradation, extend skin surface action time up to 12–24 hours;

Improve the microenvironment of aged dermis, slightly upregulate collagen synthesis of dermal fibroblasts, auxiliary to repair fine lines caused by repeated muscle movement;

Compatible with liposome, microneedle and transdermal penetration enhancers, can reach dermal target layer 150–200μm below epidermis for sustained efficacy.
