One of the most basic raw materials in petrochemical industry.

It is mainly used as standard gas for analytical instruments in petrochemical enterprises.

Ethylene serves as an eco-friendly ripening gas for fruits such as navel oranges, mandarin oranges and bananas.

Precautions

Ethylene is applied in pharmaceutical synthesis and high-tech material synthesis.

High-purity ethylene is a compressed liquefied gas. Handle and transport it gently. Ethylene cylinders shall be kept away from heat sources and open flames, and protected from direct sunlight. Store ethylene separately from oxidants such as oxygen, nitrous oxide and chlorine gas with good ventilation, and keep no flammable materials around.

Before using ethylene gas, fasten the gas cylinder to a frame or enclosure with iron chains. It is strictly forbidden to connect different types of gases to the same gas pipeline. Use a flammable gas pressure reducing valve for ethylene and inspect the airtightness of pipelines; never use the gas with pipeline leakage.

Operate gas valves slowly. Keep the cylinder valve closed when not in use. Used gas cylinders shall retain residual pressure above 0.05MPa as required, and flammable gas cylinders shall retain residual pressure above 0.2MPa. All gas cylinders shall be dedicated for specific use and undergo regular safety inspections. For any safety-related inquiries, consult professional gas suppliers.
