Sodium monofluorophosphate has the outstanding advantages of being easily soluble in water, having good stability, effective in preventing tooth decay, low toxicity, no side effects, no corrosive effect, a near-neutral pH, and stable compounds with good compatibility. Monofluorophosphate has significant bactericidal effects: a 0.01%-0.1% aqueous solution inhibits the growth and reproduction of molds; a 1% aqueous solution has a significant inhibitory effect on Aspergillus niger, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Neisseria mucositis. It is a white powder or white crystals.
