Industrial Grade Oxalic Acid Dihydrate with fixed CAS No.6153-56-6 is a versatile organic dicarboxylic acid produced through mature chemical synthesis, recrystallization and washing purification processes. Our factory strictly controls impurity removal steps to produce high-purity oxalic acid with assay over 99.6%, which serves as essential auxiliary chemical for metal surface treatment, stone maintenance, textile bleaching, environmental water treatment and fine chemical synthesis industries globally.

The finished goods exist as colorless transparent monoclinic crystals or uniform white crystalline powder. It dissolves quickly in hot water and forms weakly acidic solution with excellent metal ion complexing ability. Its core advantage lies in powerful descaling and rust removing performance. When diluted into cleaning liquid, oxalic acid can combine with iron oxide, calcium carbonate scale and manganese stains to form soluble complexes, thoroughly stripping rust spots, boiler water scale, marble yellow stains and metal surface oxide films without roughing workpiece surfaces.

Different from hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, oxalic acid belongs to weak organic acid with mild corrosion. It will not cause serious erosion to marble, terrazzo, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and cotton textiles, so it becomes the preferred safe cleaning agent for architectural stone maintenance, hardware workpiece polishing and garment bleaching. In textile manufacturing, it acts as whitening auxiliary for cotton, linen, straw and rattan crafts to brighten fabric color without fiber brittleness. For rare earth mineral processing, oxalic acid is used as precipitant to separate and extract rare earth elements with high recovery rate.

In industrial boiler and pipeline maintenance, dilute oxalic acid solution efficiently removes internal scale to restore heat exchange efficiency and extend equipment service life. Reactivity Profile:

At high temperatures oxalic acid decomposes, producing toxic carbon monoxide, andformic acid. Mixing with warm sulfuric acidmay produce the same products: CO2, CO,and formic acid. It reacts with many silvercompounds, forming explosive silver oxalate(NFPA 1986). An explosion occurred whenwater was added to an oxalic acid/sodiumchlorite mixture in a stainless steel beaker.There was also evolution of highly toxicchlorine dioxide gas (MCA 1962). Oxalicacid reacts violently with strong oxidizingsubstances.
