As a plant-based, eco-friendly rubber and plastic additive, epoxy soybean oil is primarily used in the production of various soft PVC products. It serves a dual function as both a plasticizer and a thermal stabilizer, and can partially replace phthalate plasticizers, thereby mitigating compliance risks associated with the export of toxic additives. The product is suitable for substrates such as PVC film, synthetic leather, wire and cable jackets, plastic toys, food-contact packaging, and medical plastic consumables. During processing, it effectively inhibits yellowing and decomposition caused by high temperatures, enhancing the finished product’s weather resistance, UV resistance, and anti-aging properties, and preventing cracking and embrittlement during long-term outdoor use. Its molecular structure offers excellent migration resistance, eliminating oil bleeding and blooming defects on plastic surfaces and extending the product’s service life. The low-odor, refined version is suitable for the production of plastic packaging for cosmetics and personal care product tubes, and complies with FDA, RoHS, and REACH environmental standards. It can also be used in conjunction with calcium-zinc stabilizers to reduce the overall additive dosage, thereby lowering raw material costs for manufacturers.
