    • Product Overview

      Beryllium is a lightweight, high-strength metallic element with the symbol Be and atomic number 4. With an atomic weight of 9.012 g/mol, it is one of the lightest structural metals available, offering exceptional stiffness, thermal conductivity, and dimensional stability. Beryllium is primarily used in aerospace applications, nuclear reactors, and advanced alloy development.       Synthetic Process

      Beryllium metal is produced through the reduction of beryllium fluoride with magnesium metal:

      • Ore Processing: Beryllium ore (beryl or bertrandite) is crushed and processed to extract beryllium hydroxide

      • Conversion: Beryllium hydroxide is converted to beryllium fluoride through reaction with ammonium bifluoride

      • Reduction: Beryllium fluoride is reduced with magnesium metal at high temperature (1200-1300°C) in an inert atmosphere to produce beryllium metal

      • Purification: The crude beryllium is purified through vacuum melting or zone refining to achieve high purity

      • Powder Production: High-purity beryllium is processed into powder or lump form under controlled conditions
