Chemical Properties	Also known as yellow prussiate of potash, K4Fe(CN)6.3H20 is yellow crystals with a saline taste that are soluble in water,insoluble in alcohol and loses water at 60°C. Used in medicine,dry colors,explosives, and as an analytical reagent.
Chemical Properties	Lemon-yellow crystals or powder; mild saline taste. Effloresces on exposure to air; soluble in water; insoluble in alcohol.
Uses	Potassium cyanide and ferricyanide, dry colors, tempering steel, dyeing, explosives, process engrav- ing and lithography, laboratory reagent.
Production Methods	Potassium ferrocyanide is used as a chemical reagent, in metallurgy, and in graphic arts.
Hazard	It evolves highly toxic fumes on heating to red heat, but the compound itself has low toxicity.
Flammability and Explosibility	Not classified
Safety Profile	Mildly toxic by ingestion. An experimental teratogen. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
