Lutein A Use and Manufacturing
Involved in photosynthesis along with green chlorophyll. Used in papermaking, printing and dyeing industries; can be used for food coloring, and can also be added to poultry feed to increase the yellowness of poultry egg yolk; food coloring. Lutein has the characteristics of 'natural', 'nutritional' and 'multifunctional' and can be widely used in food, health products, cosmetics, medicine and feed additives. Dietary carotenoids, but without the effect of vitamin A, increase the pigment concentration of spots in the eyes and may improve vision.
