    CAS: 6419-19-8 Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid 95% ATMP for Water Treatment

    Purity ≥95%

    Properties: Colorless or light yellow transparent liquid, or white powder. Melting point 212℃ (decomposition). Relative density (20℃) 1.30-1.40. Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, etc. Chemical propertie are stable, thermal stability is good, and it does not separate even when boiled with sulfuric acid. The decomposition temperature of the dry product is 200-212℃, and it is not easy to hydrolyze.

    Application: It can be used as a scale inhibitor for open circulating cooling water systems and boiler water, and for circulating cold water, oil field water injection, and water treatment of water-containing oil pipelines. It has good chelation and low-limit inhibition effects, and can prevent scale-forming salts in water from forming scale. It can form polycyclic chelates with metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, and disperse in water in a loose form, but its inhibitory effect on calcium phosphate is not as good as that of ethylenediaminetetramethylenephosphonic acid. It can also be used as a metal cleaning agent to remove grease from metal surfaces, and is also used as an additive for detergents, a shielding agent for metal ions, a cyanide-free electroplating additive, and an extractant for precious metals.

    There are two specifications of ATMP , solid and liquid. Owing to the C-P bond in its molecular, ATMP is chemical stable, hydrolyzing stable and thermostable. It shows good synergic effect and solving threshold effect while being compounded with zinc, copolymer. This product yet has excellent anticorroding performance even used with large dosage. It's nontoxic and nuisance free. Moreover, it has a good dispersing performance against scale of calcium carbonate.

    Application:
     

    1. ATMP can be used in thermal power plant, recirculated cooling water of oil refinery, and recycle waterflood system of oilfield..
    2. ATMP can decrease scale formation and inhibit corrosion of metal equipment and pipeline.
    3.  ATMP can be used as chelating agent in woven and dyeing industries and as metal surface treatment agent.


    ATMP is usually used together with other organophosphoric acid, polycarboxylic acid and salt to built all organic alkaline water treatment agent. ATMP can be used in many different circulating cool water system. The recommended dosage is 5-20mg/L. As corrosion inhibitor, The recommended dosage is 20-80mg/L.
