It can remove suspended solids, colloids, organic substances and partial heavy metals in raw water. Widely used in tap water plant, drinking water treatment, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater treatment.

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an inorganic polymeric coagulant with the chemical formula [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m (n = 1-5, m ≤ 10) and a relative molecular weight between 102.9 and 289.8. PAC is odorless with a slightly bitter taste. It is a pale yellow or yellowish-brown powder or granules, and can also be prepared in liquid form. Common forms include powder, granules, and liquid. It is readily soluble in water, and the resulting aqueous solution is weakly acidic, with a pH of approximately 3.5-5.0. It is insoluble in organic solvents such as and ether. It readily absorbs moisture from the air and clumps, requiring sealed storage in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture from affecting its effectiveness. In industrial production, it is used in water treatment, papermaking, printing and dyeing, textiles, and mining as a coagulant, flocculant, precipitant, and decolorizing agent. It is also used in drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, and sludge dewatering processes. Its excellent flocculation properties can quickly adsorb suspended particles in water and form large flocs for sedimentation. It can efficiently purify water in the field of water treatment and assist in separation and purification in the industrial field, making it widely used.
