    Activated Carbon

Pellet activated carbon for gas disposal and water treatment

Pellet activated carbon is created by extruding activated carbon into cylindrical shaped pellets with diameters ranging from 1.5 to 9mm. Their high activity and surface area make it ideal for many vapor phase applications. The uniformity of its shape makes it particularly useful in applications where low-pressure drop is a consideration.
The adsorptive capacity of pelletized carbon makes it ideal for removing a variety of contaminants from air and gas streams. Pellets are also an environmentally responsible product that can be reactivated through thermal oxidation and used multiple times for the same application

The particle shape of gold extraction activated carbon is full, uniform, greatly improved the wear strength of the product, no need to perform pre-ground after entering the factory, can be used directly after water is washed. High-quality activated carbon is vital to the gold extraction operation. Using activated carbon of optimal hardness minimizes fines and recovers more gold. Our coconut shell activated carbon is used extensively in Carbon in Column (CIC), Carbon in Pulp (CIP) and Carbon in Leach (CIL) applications.

Characteristics of activated carbon for gold recovery

    Adsorptive Capacity (known as K-value)
Often called loading capacity, the adsorptive capacity of activated carbon refers to how much the activated carbon can adsorb. Adsorptive capacity is linked to the physical and chemical properties of the activated carbon.

    Adsorption Rate (known as R-value)
The rate of adsorption is also largely affected by both physical and chemical properties of the activated carbon.

    Mechanical Strength and Wear Resistance/Hardness
Mechanical strength is important in reducing losses because of attrition. Attrition is the breakdown of material into fines. Not only does this result in carbon loss, but it also causes a loss in recoverable gold.

    Particle Size Distribution
Particle size distribution is another key factor in choosing an activated carbon for gold recovery, as it is largely linked to adsorption rate.

Coconut shell-based carbons are the most commonly selected type of activated carbon for gold recovery. This type of carbon boasts numerous characteristics that make it ideal for use in gold recovery, including superior hardness and pore structure.

    Package
Activated carbon is generally packed with 25kg/bag, 500kg/bag with or without pallet. We can also customize packages according to clients' needs.

With high strength, our activated carbon granules is durable. And because of the small holes separated in it regularly, it can adsorb macro-molecules of odors, or other kinds of hazardous substances quickly in quantity. When it is exposed in air, or air currents blow through it,macro-molecules of poisonous gases will remain in these holes. This principle is also the reason why it is as carrier for many
catalysts, and generally used in the chemical industry. Besides these, because of the character, it is also necessary to water purifying, sewage treatment, or recycling of waste water from the boilers in power station.

    Coal base activated carbon
Coal based Activated carbon is one of the most widely used types of Activated carbon in the industrial field. This kind of Activated carbon is made of high-quality anthracite coal as raw material, processed through carbonization, activation and refined screening. Coal based Activated carbon features stable physical and chemical properties, high mechanical strength, good wear resistance and developed pore structure.

Coal based Activated carbon is widely applied in wastewater treatment, industrial waste gas purification, VOC removal, air deodorization, circulating water filtration, chemical industry purification and environmental protection engineering. Compared with other types of Activated carbon, coal based Activated carbon has cost-effective price, long service life and easy regeneration, making it the preferred adsorption material for many industrial enterprises.

We provide standard and customized coal based Activated carbon with different iodine value, particle size and technical parameters. Strict quality inspection is carried out for each batch of Activated carbon to ensure stable performance and meet international export standards. Factory direct wholesale, fast delivery and professional technical support are available for global purchasers.
    Wood based activated carbon

Wood based Activated carbon is a high-performance porous adsorption material made from high-quality wood chips, sawdust and wooden raw materials. After carbonization, high-temperature activation and refined processing, this Wood based Activated carbon forms abundant mesopore and macropore structure, which is different from other types of Activated carbon.

Wood based Activated carbon is widely used in food and beverage decolorization, sugar industry purification, wine refining, chemical liquid purification, wastewater advanced treatment and environmental deodorization. Compared with coal based Activated carbon and coconut shell Activated carbon, Wood based Activated carbon is more suitable for liquid phase adsorption and decolorization scenarios.

Our Wood based Activated carbon has the advantages of fast adsorption speed, large pore volume and excellent decolorization capacity. We supply food grade and industrial grade Wood based Activated carbon with complete specifications. Every batch of Wood based Activated carbon is strictly tested to ensure stable adsorption effect and meet export quality standards. Factory direct supply, customized mesh size and technical indicators are available for global buyers.

    Coconut based activated carbon
Coconut shell Activated carbon is a premium high-purity adsorption Activated carbon made from natural coconut shell raw materials. Through carbonization, high-temperature steam activation and precise screening, this Coconut shell Activated carbon forms abundant micropore structure, which makes it stand out among all kinds of Activated carbon products.

Coconut shell Activated carbon is widely used in drinking water purification, tap water filtration, bottled water treatment, food and beverage purification, gold recovery, air purification and household water filter elements. Different from wood based Activated carbon and coal based Activated carbon, Coconut shell Activated carbon is more suitable for removing tiny impurities,  odor and heavy metals in water.

Our Coconut shell Activated carbon features high mechanical strength, strong hardness, low ash content, large specific surface area and excellent micropore adsorption capacity. We supply food grade and industrial grade Coconut shell Activated carbon with strict quality control. Each batch of Coconut shell Activated carbon is tested for iodine value, hardness and ash content to meet international export standards. Factory direct wholesale, customized size and packaging are available for global buyers.

Carbon, C, is a nonmetallic element, grey solid. It is found in nature as graphite (specific gravity2.25), diamond(specific gravity 3.51), and coal (specific gravity 1.88). Carbon is found in all living things, is insoluble in common solvents, and forms an almost infinite numberof organic compounds. Anaturally occurring radioactive isotope,14C, has a half-life of 5780 years and is used in archaeo logical investigations to date artifacts and ancient documents.
