Drug Function and Efficacy

This product is a semi-synthetic water-soluble antibiotic belonging to the aminoglycoside class. It has good antibacterial effects on a variety of pathogens, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter, Serratia, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella, Haemophilus influenzae and Staphylococcus, and has certain antibacterial activity against some Pseudomonas and Acinetobacter. It also has certain antibacterial activity against some Staphylococci that produce penicillinase and some low-level methicillin-resistant Staphylococci (MRSA). The mechanism of action of this product is to inhibit the normal protein synthesis of sensitive bacteria. The results of animal ototoxicity experiments show that the ototoxicity of this product injected intramuscularly is lower than that of other aminoglycoside antibiotics, and is similar to that of netilmicin.
