Basic Yellow 24 Use and Manufacturing
Using N-methyl-2-benzothiazepine hydrazone and 2, 2-dichloromethylbenzimidazole as the main raw materials, after condensation, methylate with dimethyl sulfate, filter off the waste residue, and add to the filtrate A small amount of leveling agent OP is obtained by salting out, filtering and drying. Add 400L of water to the reaction pot, slowly add 30kg of 30% hydrochloric acid, 24.6kg of 2, 2-dichloromethylbenzimidazole, increase the temperature to 80-85°C, add 24kg of N-methyl-2-benzothiazole hydrazone, Continue to slowly increase the temperature to 95-110°C for 2h. Then cool down to about 15℃, add 24kg of magnesium oxide, control the pH value of 8-9, stir for 10min, continue to cool to 10℃, add 124kg of dimethyl sulfate, control the reaction temperature of 30-35℃, pH value of 8, and react for 1h. Then add 20kg of dimethyl sulfate, control the temperature to 38-43℃, and react for 2h, the pH value will drop to about 6. After the reaction, the temperature was raised to 90-95°C within 1 hour, and stirred for 15 minutes until the Congo red test paper turned blue. Add water to adjust the volume of the material liquid to about 1100L, heat to 90-95°C, filter while it is hot, and wash the filter residue with 200L of 90°C hot water. Combine the filtrate and washing water into the reaction pot, then add 68 kg of hydrochloric acid, 1 kg of leveling agent OP, and stir to dissolve the materials. Add refined salt to 7% of the material for salting out, stir for 1h, filter, and dry to obtain about 60kg of dye.
Used for dyeing acrylic fiber and its blended fabrics. Dyeing in acetic acid and sodium acetate bath, pH has little effect on shade. It is often combined with cationic red 2GL and brilliant blue RL to form three primary colors, which are combined with bright color spectrum. And dyeing silk in the same bath as the grafting method can improve the fastness.
