Zinc chromate hydroxide (Zn5(CrO4)(OH)8) Use and Manufacturing
It is prepared by reacting zinc oxide with potassium dichromate and sulfuric acid, filtering, separating, drying and crushing. Reaction equation: 4ZnO+H2SO4+2K2Cr2O7+2H2O→4ZnO·4CrO3·K2O·3H2O+K2SO4 Operation method: In a reactor with agitator, make 100 parts of zinc oxide slurry with 8-10 times water, and heat to 80 with steam ~90℃, after cooling, slowly add 150~250g/L potassium dichromate solution and 8.5 parts of sulfuric acid, the feeding time is about 1h, after the addition, fully stir 2~3h below 40℃, then pass, Separate, dry and crush the product.
Inorganic yellow pigment. It is mainly used in the manufacture of rust primers in the paint industry and has good corrosion resistance to metal surfaces. Since zinc chrome yellow is non-toxic, it can be used to make cosmetic pigments for film and television performances. It is also used for coloring plastics, inks, watercolors, oil paints, rubber and other products.
