Drug Information

nickel hydroxide (II)

Nickel dihydroxide Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The nickel salt method reacts a nickel salt solution such as a nickel sulfate solution and a sodium hydroxide solution to obtain a finished nickel hydroxide product by crystallization separation. Its NiSO4+2NaOH→Ni(OH)2+Na2SO4

Uses

Used in the Battery manufacturing industry. Making nickel salt raw materials, alkaline storage batteries, electroplating, catalysts. Used for alkaline storage batteries, nickel plating, etc.; Nickel hydroxide can be obtained by adding potassium hydroxide to nickel nitrate or hexaammine nickel (II) nitrate solution and used as an oxidation catalyst.
