SODIUM STANNATE TRIHYDRATE Use and Manufacturing
Add 446 kg of tin (99.5%), 320 kg of caustic soda (90%), and 105 sodium nitrate (95%) to the reaction pot in sequence, and heat to 300 ℃, and stop heating when the temperature rises to 800 ℃. Continue to stir until the material ignites, after 0.5 h of ignition, then cool it out. The crude product is dissolved in water, sodium sulfide is added to remove lead, and hydrogen peroxide is added to remove iron. It is often followed by vacuum filtration, concentration, centrifugal dehydration, drying and crushing to obtain finished products.
Used for tin plating, tin alloy, mordant, ceramic, glass, fireproof fabric, etc.
Sodium Stannate Trihydrate is used in preparation method of Tin doped Silicon/Carbon anode material for lithium ion battery.
