The preparation method is to add xylene, n-butyl isocyanate and tertiary amine catalyst to the reaction kettle, stir, add o-methoxycarbonylbenzene sulfonamide and heat to reflux, after reacting for a certain period of time, pass light at 120～130℃ After passing through the phosgene, reflux for 1 h. Use nitrogen to drive off the phosgene and desolvate to obtain a finished product of sulfonyl isocyanate.
O-Methoxycarbonylbenzenesulfonyl isocyanate is an intermediate of sulfonylurea herbicides methylsulfuron, pyrsulfuron and trisulfuron.
