The preparation method is to add xylene and o-(β-chloroethoxy)benzenesulfonamide into the reaction kettle, then add n-butyl isocyanate, raise the temperature to reflux, react for 15 minutes, and then pass phosgene at 130°C for about 6 minutes. ~7h, after the phosgene venting is completed, the n-butyl isocyanate and xylene are distilled out under normal pressure, and the residue is o-(β-chloroethoxy)benzenesulfonyl isocyanate.
O-(β-chloroethoxy)-benzenesulfonyl isocyanate is an intermediate of sulfonylurea herbicide ether besulfuron.
