Chlorfenprox Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Preparation method: Preparation of tert-butyl chloride: It is prepared by reacting tert-butanol with hydrochloric acid, mixing and shaking for 20 minutes. Preparation of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-methylpropane In the mixture of chlorobenzene and anhydrous iron trichloride, pass dry hydrogen chloride, add tert-butyl chloride dropwise at 30°C, and finish it all by drop. Continue the reaction for 2h. Preparation of 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-chloromethylpropane The product of the previous step was reacted with thionyl chloride at 100°C for 2h in the presence of the catalyst benzoyl peroxide. Synthesis of Permethrin The product of the previous step was mixed with m-phenoxybenzyl alcohol and sodium hydroxide, and nitrogen was passed through the solvent, and the reaction was stirred at 120°C for 8h.

Uses

Broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide. Used to control cotton bollworm, tobacco budworm, cotton bollworm, cotton leaf budworm, armyworm, subtropical armyworm, cotton leaf roller, aphids, pod bug, greenhouse whitefly, Mexican cotton boll weevil Etc., dosage 0.9~2g/100m2; used to control vegetable pests such as diamondback moth, armyworm, armyworm, green peach aphid, etc., dosage 0.98~2g/100m2; used to control corn borer, big borer, corn aphid, dosage 0.75 ~1.5g/100m2. In addition, it can not be used to control various pests on tobacco, soybean, potato, rice and fruit trees. It also has a certain ability to kill mites.
