Its preparation method is based on 2, 5-dichloro-4-aminoanisole as raw material, heated with hydrogen iodide for 5 hours, cooled and filtered, dissolved in Na2SO2 aqueous solution to remove the remaining hydrogen iodide, and then added ammonia to precipitate a precipitate. Filter the product.
2,5-Dichloro-4-aminophenol is an intermediate of the insecticide lufenuron.
