From 2-ethoxynaphthalene obtained by formylation. Add dimethylformamide to the reactor, add 2-ethoxynaphthalene, add phosphorus oxychloride dropwise below 80°C, react at 95°C for 2h, pour into ice, let stand, filter, and at 60°C This product is obtained by drying.
Used in organic synthesis. In medicine, it is used to synthesize sodium ethoxynaphthomycin.
