The preparation methods include antimony trioxide hydrogen peroxide method, potassium antimonate (sodium) ion exchange method and potassium antimonate (sodium) gel sol method. Potassium (sodium) antimonate gel sol method Add water to sodium antimonate, stir to disperse, the concentration is 0.3 g/m1, and add 35% hydrochloric acid under stirring, heat to 40℃, react for 4h to generate antimony pentoxide Gel slurry. After filtering and separating, washing with pure water, adding pure water to the obtained antimony pentoxide filter cake, then adding triethanolamine, and heating to 75° C. for degumming for 5 hours to prepare antimony pentoxide sol product.
Used as a flame retardant for plastics, rubber, fibers, etc.
