Sodium gluconate Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

1. Add metered calcium gluconate to the kettle and add a sulfuric acid aqueous solution with stirring. Stirring 1h after standing filter, filter residue CaSO4 and remove. The filtrate was added to the neutralization kettle and neutralized with an appropriate amount of Na2CO3 aqueous solution. Concentration, filtration, drying, testing qualified packaging was finished. The reaction is as follows: H2 (CHOH) 4C OO] 2Ca H2S O4 → HO CH2 (CHOH) 4C OOH N a 2C O3 → HO CH (CHOH) C OON a
2. Industry generally containing glucose substances (such as cereals) as raw materials, the use of fermentation system from the first glucose gluconate, and then sodium hydroxide and sodium gluconate can be obtained. According to the different types of fermentation enzymes used, fermentation can be divided into two types:One with an enzyme called Aspergillus Niger and the other with an enzyme called Gluconobacter suboxydans. The former method oxidizes glucose to lactone and then hydrolyses the lactone to gluconic acid; the latter method forms a lactone by dehydrogenation of glucose and then hydrolyses the ester. Sodium gluconate can also be directly derived from glucose fermentation. At this time, the fermentation substrate composition can be: glucose 250 ~ 350g / L, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate 0.2 ~ 0.3g / L, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.2 ~ 0.3g / L, diammonium phosphate or urea 0.4 ~ 0.5g / L . The substrate shall be sterilized. Fermentation process, the temperature control is 30 ~ 32 ℃, ph value with 30% ~ 50% sodium hydroxide control method is 5.5 ~ 6.5, the fermentation process for 40 ~ 100h. Then, the microorganisms are removed by filtration and washing, the activated charcoal is decolored, filtered, concentrated or spray-dried to obtain a finished product. Gluconic acid can also be obtained by chemical oxidation or catalytic oxidation of glucose but the yield is low and refining difficult.
