Drug Function and Efficacy

After an overdose of sevoflurane, use should be stopped immediately, the trachea should be kept open, pure oxygen should be inhaled to assist or control breathing, and cardiovascular function should be maintained.

Ingredients	The main ingredient of this product is sevoflurane, chemical name: 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-(fluoromethoxy)-propane.
Indication	Sevoflurane can significantly enhance the muscle relaxant effect of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. Therefore, when using sevoflurane, the dose of such drugs should be appropriately adjusted. Sevoflurane is similar to isoflurane, and both require the addition of epinephrine when exogenous arrhythmias occur due to myocardial sensitivity. The MAC of sevoflurane decreases with the increase of nitrous oxide. See the table Effect of age on the MAC of sevoflurane (see Dosage and Administration). Similar to other drugs, the concentration of sevoflurane can be reduced when it is used in combination with intravenous anesthetics such as propofol. CYP2E1 inducers (such as isoniazid, alcohol) increase the metabolism of sevoflurane, but barbiturates do not increase its metabolism.
