Methods of Manufacturing

Using purple anthrone (C.I.59800) as a raw material, it is nitrated with nitric acid (98%) in chloroacetic acid (or glacial acetic acid) to obtain the product. After filtering, washing, crushing and drying, the finished product is obtained. . Add 600kg of chloroacetic acid mother liquor into the nitrification pot, heat up to 23-27℃, add 80kg of purple anthrone, stir for 30min, add 80kg of nitric acid (96%), nitrify for 2h, after reaching the end, add to ice water to dilute and press filter. Take the filter cake and beat it for 30 minutes, neutralize it with hydrochloric acid to pH=7-8, press filter, and wash with water until it is neutral. Then the filter cake is beaten, added with a diffusing agent, and ground, and dried to obtain 152kg of finished dye.

Uses

Reduced black BBN is mainly used for dyeing cotton fibers. After dyeing, it is treated with an oxidant (such as sodium hypochlorite or sodium nitrite and concentrated sulfuric acid). The color changes from dark green to dark black, the color is stable, and the levelness and affinity are very good. It is also used for dyeing viscose fiber, silk, wool, vinylon and cotton blended fabrics.
