Methods of Manufacturing

Using meta-nitroaniline, anthranilic acid and phthalic anhydride as raw materials, first methylate anthranilic acid with dimethyl sulfate, and then conduct ring closure with phthalic anhydride to obtain 1-methyl-4-hydroxy-2-quinolone (I ). Then meta-nitroaniline is diazotized and coupled with (I) to obtain the product. After filtering and drying, the finished product is obtained.

Uses

Mainly used for dyeing polyester and its blended fabrics, but also for dyeing acetate fiber and nylon
