1-Bromo-2-methylpropane Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The isobutanol was cooled to -10°C, and phosphorus tribromide was slowly added dropwise to keep the reaction solution below 0°C. After the dripping is completed, the temperature is naturally raised to room temperature under stirring, and it is left overnight, and then purified by distillation under reduced pressure to obtain 1-bromo-2-methylpropane.

Uses

Solvents, organic synthesis and pharmaceutical intermediates.
