It is obtained by steam distillation of the dried rhizomes and roots of Nardostachys chinensis or N. Iatamans. The yield is 2.5%~3.5%. It is native to the Himalayas in Asia. It is produced in Tibet, Sichuan, Gansu, Yunnan, Taiwan and other provinces of my country, and it is also produced in India, Nepal, and Japan.
It is used to formulate fragrance, soap, cosmetic essence, and individual food essence.
