Hormone (growth).

Drug Function and Efficacy

It stimulates the differentiation and proliferation of epiphyseal chondrocytes, the growth of cartilage matrix cells, and the differentiation and proliferation of osteoblasts, causing accelerated linear growth and widening of bones. It promotes systemic protein synthesis, corrects the negative nitrogen balance after surgery and other traumas, and corrects hypoproteinemia caused by severe infection and cirrhosis; stimulates immunoglobulin synthesis, stimulates the proliferation of lymphoid tissue, macrophages and lymphocytes, and enhances anti-infection ability; stimulates the synthesis of fibroblasts and macrophages in burn wounds and surgical incisions, accelerates wound healing, promotes myocardial protein synthesis, increases myocardial contractility, reduces myocardial oxygen consumption, regulates fat metabolism, and reduces serum cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein levels; supplements insufficient or deficient growth hormone, and regulates fat metabolism, bone metabolism, and cardiorenal function in adults.
