Pancreatic trypsin inhibitor Use and Manufacturing

Aprotinin is largely used as an inhibitor of trypsin. Proteolytic inhibitor in radioimmunoassays of polypeptide hormones.Peptidase inhibitors. It can inhibit trypsin, chymotrypsin and fibrinolytic enzyme. Used for fibrinolysis, acute pancreatitis and pancreatic necrosis.

Drug Function and Efficacy

Aprotinin is a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor that can be used to regulate the body's inflammatory response (SIR) caused by extracorporeal circulation (CPB) surgery. Through its multiple regulatory inhibitory effects (such as vasodilators, plasmin), it can reduce the inflammatory response, fibrinolytic response and thrombin production. Aprotinin can inhibit the release of inflammatory cytokines, maintain the balance of glycoproteins, reduce the loss of platelet glycoproteins (such as GpⅠbGpⅡb/Ⅲa), and prevent the expression of inflammatory adhesive glycoproteins in granulocytes (such as CDⅡb). Its role in CPB also includes reducing inflammatory responses and reducing the need for allogeneic blood transfusions.
