Description

Liquid. Slightly soluble in water; soluble in acetone, xylene, chloroform, and methylated naphthalene. ethion is an odorless amber liquid. It is very sparingly soluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents. Ethion undergoes decomposition on heating or on burning and produces toxic and corrosive fumes, including phosphorus oxides and sulfur oxides. It is used for the control of crop pests and household insects. These include, but are not limited to, aphids, mite, sticks, scales, thrips

Ethion is a colorless or amber colored liquid with a disagreeable odor. It is a wettable emulsifiable liquid. It is toxic by inhalation, skin absorption, and/or ingestion. It burns, but is not easily ignited. Fire may produce toxic and irritating fumes. It is used as a pesticide. May be found in the form of a dry mixture where the liquid is absorbed onto a dry carrier.

Ethion Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Put O, O-diethyldithiophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium hydroxide into the reaction pot, the dosage is 500g, 60% sodium salt, 5g sodium bicarbonate, the amount of sodium hydroxide is Adjust the pH to 7 as the limit. Then press the sodium salt: dichloromethane = 1: 0.7 (mol) into dichloromethane. Fill the reaction pot with nitrogen to maintain a pressure of 0.2 to 0.4 MPa. The temperature is raised to 100~110℃, the reaction time is 5~8h, and the reaction pressure is 1~1.5MPa. The reaction is cooled down. After filtering out a small amount of filter residue, the crude oil was allowed to stand for layer separation, washed three times with water, and dehydrated under reduced pressure. The product yield is over 70% and the content is about 90%. Preparation Method One Preparation Method Two Preparation Method Three
