Toxicity

THE TUMOR INITIATING POTENCY OF ETHYL CARBAMATE HOMOLOGS & ETHYL CARBAMATE N-SUBSTITUTED DERIVATIVES WERE STUDIED AFTER SUBCUTANEOUS INJECTION INTO MICE FOLLOWED BY TREATMENT WITH THE PROMOTER CROTON OIL. THE TUMOR INITIATING POTENCIES WERE, IN DESCENDING ORDER ETHYL CARBAMATE, ETHYL N-METHYLCARBAMATE, ETHYL N-ETHYLCARBAMATE, & BUTYL CARBAMATE.
