Methods of Manufacturing

Obtained from the esterification of α-alanine. Anhydrous ethanol and α-alanine were put into the reaction pot, and dry hydrogen chloride gas was introduced to saturation at room temperature. After the reaction liquid was all clear, the temperature was raised to reflux for 4h. Distill excess ethanol to dryness. That is, DL-alanine ethyl ester hydrochloride.
