Antimony sulfide (Sb2S3) Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

There are three preparation methods: natural queen queen processing method, antimony white conversion method and direct legalization. Natural mineral processing method. The natural antimony antimony ore is processed through screening and crushing to produce antimony sulfide finished products. Antimony white conversion method. Reaction equation: Sb2O3+4Na2S+Ca(OH)2+3H2O→Sb2S3+8NaOH+CaS Operation method: Mix Sb2O3 1.80kg, Ca(OH)2 0.6kg, H2O 6kg, heat at 80℃ for 1h. Dissolve 2.41 kg of 60% Na2S in 3 L of water to prepare a Na2S solution. Under stirring, at 80° C., add this Na2S solution to the above mixture within 30 min, and keep stirring for 30 min. It was then acidified with 30% HCl to pH 0.4 within 3h. Raise the temperature to 95°C, stir for another 3h, cool, filter, wash, and dry to obtain Sb2S3 pigment. Direct and legal. Reaction equation: 3S+2Sb→Sb2S3 Operation method: After melting metal antimony at high temperature, sulfur vapor is introduced into it, and it is directly combined to produce antimony trisulfide. The amount of sulfur is 103% to 115% of the stoichiometric amount, the reaction is stirred for 0.3 to 1 hour, and the reaction temperature is maintained at 650 to 850°C.

In pyrotechnics, Bengal fires; manufacture of ruby glass, matches, explosives; as a pigment in paints.
