Description
White to very pale yellow glassy solid
Solid
Diphosphoric acid is an acyclic phosphorus acid anhydride obtained by condensation of two molecules of phosphoric acid. It has a role as an Escherichia coli metabolite. It is a phosphorus oxoacid and an acyclic phosphorus acid anhydride. It is a conjugate acid of a diphosphate(1-).

Pyrophosphoric acid Use and Manufacturing
The production of pyrophosphorus includes a method of dehydrating and concentrating 85% of commercially available phosphoric acid, dissolving phosphorus pentoxide in 85% of phosphoric acid, and a method of reacting phosphoryl chloride with 85% of phosphoric acid. The 85% phosphoric acid concentration method avoids local overheating of commercially available 85% phosphoric acid and heats it to about 180°C under reduced pressure for dehydration (100g 85% phosphoric acid has a weight loss of about 25-30g) to produce pyrophosphoric acid. Method of dissolving P2O5 in 85% phosphoric acid Under vigorous stirring, add P2O5 to the phosphoric acid in a calculated amount (100g85% phosphoric acid plus 95-100g P2O5) little by little, and dissolve it while heating until it becomes transparent. Add water to the generated pyrophosphoric acid to adjust the P2O5 content to about 76% to 79%. The pyrophosphoric acid is naturally placed (to keep moisture-proof) to form crystals, and it takes two to three days to form crystals under ice cooling to produce pyrophosphoric acid. Method of seeding liquid pyrophosphate. This is a method for mass production of high-purity crystalline pyrophosphate (type I or type II). The commercially available polyphosphoric acid (also called 116% phosphoric acid) containing 84% P2O5 is diluted with water Make liquid pyrophosphoric acid (P2O579.76%), add an appropriate amount (10%-50% by weight) of type I or type II pyrophosphoric acid seed crystals, in a dry nitrogen stream to prevent moisture, stir at 30-50℃, After an induction period of 60 to 180 min, crystalline pyrophosphate can be prepared with a purity of >95%.
Used as a catalyst, metal refining, organic peroxide stabilizer. Used to adjust the Ph value of the electroplating solution in the copper electroplating process, and also used in other electroplating. Used as a catalyst and hiding agent, etc. Water retention agent, quality improver, pH adjuster, metal chelating agent.
