Description
ChEBI: An organic sodium salt resulting from the formal condensation of Sirius red 4B (acid form) with two equivalents of sodium hydroxide. Used as the plasma stain in some trichrome staining methods.
Sirius red 4B is an organic sodium salt resulting from the formal condensation of Sirius red 4B (acid form) with two equivalents of sodium hydroxide. Used as the plasma stain in some trichrome staining methods. It has a role as a histological dye, a fluorochrome, an environmental contaminant and a poison. It contains a Sirius red 4B(2-).
Brown powder. Good water solubility, soluble in ethylene glycol ether, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in other organic solvents. Its aqueous solution is magenta, adding concentrated hydrochloric acid produces a yellowish olive-brown precipitate, adding concentrated alkali produces a purple precipitate. In concentrated sulfuric acid is dark blue, diluted to produce light orange-brown precipitate; in concentrated nitric acid is bright blue to red light brown. The color and light are basically unchanged when encountering iron ions in dyeing, and the color and light are slightly blue when encountering copper ions.

CHLORANTINE FAST RED 5B Use and Manufacturing
Using p-aminoazobenzene sulfonic acid and N-benzoyl J acid as raw materials, first diazotize p-aminoazobenzene sulfonic acid and then couple with N-benzoyl J acid to obtain the product. After salting out, filtering, drying and crushing, the finished product is obtained.
Direct light fast red 4B is used for dyeing and direct printing of cotton and viscose fiber fabrics, and the ground color is discharged to blue red. It has good dye transfer and level dyeing properties, has good hiding power for uneven quality viscose filaments, and has poor dyeing rate. It is also used for dyeing silk and high temperature dyeing polyester-viscose blended fabric with disperse dye in the same bath.
Chlorantine Fast Red 5B is a direct dye used in cosmetics, hair dyes and in the textile industry as a colourant.
