4-Bromo-2-chlorophenol Use and Manufacturing
The preparation method is to obtain 2-chloro-4-bromophenol by bromination of o-chlorophenol. The o-chlorophenol and solvent are quantitatively pumped into the enamel reactor, under the conditions of stirring, negative pressure, and cooling, a certain amount of bromine is slowly added dropwise into the kettle, and the temperature is controlled at 8-12°C. After the bromine addition is completed, Continue the reaction at room temperature for 2 hours, and then maintain it at room temperature. Slowly add a quantitative 30% lye to neutralize the reactants. After stirring for 0.5 hours, the materials are pumped to the layerer and left for more than 4 hours. The lower layer is 55%~60. % 2-chloro-4-bromophenol sodium aqueous solution, acidified to obtain 2-chloro-4-bromophenol.
Used as an intermediate for pesticide propofol, but also for other organic synthesis
