Methods of Manufacturing

It is obtained by condensation, neutralization and decolorization of 1 mol of octylphenol with 6 mol of ethylene oxide under solid base catalysis. The process conditions are detailed in octylphenol polyoxyethylene (3) ether.

Uses

This product is used as an antistatic agent for plastic product transmission belts in coal mines, and can eliminate static induction during the transmission process. To prevent the phenomenon of electric sparks, it can be produced safely, and can also be used as pesticides and other industrial emulsifiers.
