Dimethylamine Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Methanol ammoniating method. It is obtained by reacting methanol as raw material with ammonia. The reaction temperature is 425℃, the reaction pressure is 2.45 MPa, the catalyst is α-Al2O3, and the methanol is ammoniated by gas phase catalytic reaction to obtain crude monomethylamine, dimethylamine and trimethylamine, then pressurized After rectification, single-component, relatively pure industrial products monomethylamine, dimethylamine and trimethylamine were obtained. CH3OH+NH3→CH3NH2+H2O2CH3OH+NH3→(CH3)2NH+2H2O3CH3OH+NH3→(CH3)3N+3H2O

Uses

Determination of magnesium and zinc. Precipitation of zinc hydroxide and manganese hydroxide. Acid gas absorbent. Solvent. Check chloropicrin and carbon dioxide in the air. Preparation of organic synthesis intermediates, dimethyl dithiocarbamate, etc.
