Methods of Manufacturing

Derived from the reaction of phenylhydrazine and urea. Phenylhydrazine and urea were added to xylene, and reacted at reflux for 32 hours, left overnight, and the crude product was filtered out. Then dissolve in the mixed acid mixed solvent of ethanol and a little acetic acid, quickly cool and crystallize, filter and wash again with ethanol, and filter to dry is the finished product.

Uses

As indicator in titrating Fe; for the colorimetric determination of Cr, detection of Cd, Hg, Mg, aldehydes, emetine.
