Methods of Manufacturing

Take N, N-dimethylaniline as raw material and oxidize it with copper chloride to obtain the product. Or the mixture of N, N-dimethylaniline and phenol, sodium chloride and copper sulfate is oxidized with air to obtain the product. The products obtained are all more methylated para-fuchsin (mainly containing N-tetramethylation, pentamethylation and hexamethylation derivatives) hydrochloride mixture.

Uses

Oil soluble violet 5BN is mainly used for coloring various oils. It can also be used for the coloring of various plastics and resins.
